Special Interests

Dr. Kim is an expert in structural heart disease interventions, encompassing the full array of catheter-based valvular therapies including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and transcatheter mitral valve repair (MitraClip). His specialty also includes non-valvular therapies such as PFO/ASD/VSD closure, paravalvular leak and fistula repair, and left atrial appendage closure.

His goal is to provide patients with comprehensive and expert consultative cardiovascular care while emphasizing a strong patient-provider relationship, both in the acute hospital setting and in the setting of clinic-based continuous care. He views every patient encounter as an opportunity to assist patients in achieving their individual cardiovascular healthcare goals.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with his three children, watching them grow, learn, and develop into well-rounded individuals in their own right. He also enjoys road biking, golfing, skiing, and can regularly be found on the leaderboard while indoor training on his Peloton cycle.
