Wendy Arteaga, NP, upholds that it is important to make a difference. In being thorough and supportive, she works collaboratively with patients and other providers to assure the highest quality plan of care meets the needs and goals of her patients.
Wendy received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Florida. Her graduate studies include a Master of Science in Nursing at University of Nebraska with special education and training as a Critical Care Clinical Care Nurse Specialist. She was also certified as a Critical Care RN. Additionally, she obtained a master’s certificate for Adult-Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Vanderbilt University.
Her special areas of interest include heart rhythm treatment, electrophysiology, which includes treatments with medication, catheter ablation procedures and working with pacemakers and defibrillators. Many of these patients also have heart failure symptoms and her prior work experience has included the management of heart failure and other cardiac issues in the patients with heart rhythm problems.
When not working with patients, Wendy enjoys spending as much time as she can with her four grown children. She also has a great love for the outdoors and enjoys exploring and taking her two dogs out for hikes.
